First Announcement

Introduction:

The 2nd International Conference on Exotic Nuclei and Atomic Masses (ENAM98) will be

held in Bellaire, Michigan, USA on 23-27 June, 1998

 

Scope of the Conference:

This meeting will follow the traditions established by ENAM95 in Arles, France and the precursor series of conferences, "Nuclei Far from Stability" and "Atomic Masses and Fundamental Constants". The program will consist of invited review talks on major developments in the area of exotic nuclei and atomic masses, plus selected oral contributions on important experimental and theoretical topics. Fields to be covered include:

 

 

In addition to the oral program a poster session will be held.

 

Conference Site:

The conference will be held at the Shanty Creek Resort, Bellaire, Michigan. Information on

the resort can be seen on their web site,

In addition to fine meeting facilities, Shanty Creek Resort offers superb golf, tennis, bicycle rental, excellent northern Michigan scenery, and shopping at nearby Traverse City. Bellaire is about 45 minutes by road from Traverse City, which can be reached by several major airlines through Detroit and Chicago. Spouses and accompanying children are encouraged to take advantage of the vacation facilities available at Shanty Creek, described in the enclosed brochure. Canoeing, horseback riding, sailing, and other activities are also available in the vicinity.

Participation:

The number of participants will be limited to approximately 250 persons in order to facilitate informal discussions. The conference registration fee will be $350, which includes a mid-week excursion. Please indicate your interest in the conference filling out the questionnaire on the conference web page. Click here to electronically answer the questionnaire.

 

Contributions and Proceedings:

If you intend to participate in the conference, please submit the titles of planned contributions on the questionnaire as well as suggestions for additional topics and speakers.

The conference proceedings will be produced directly from camera-ready manuscripts which must be submitted during the meeting.
