The Sheraton Imperial Hotel has a fairly large Restaurant, but it is often crowded due to customers from the adjacent Research Triangle Park. For people without much time it offers a lunch buffet. The Sheraton Imperial also houses a small Cafe (for ~30 people) where one can get sandwiches etc. About 0.7 miles from the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and about 0.4 miles from the Comfort Suites Hotel and the Wingate Hotel is the "Greekstone Crossings", a small Shopping Center at the intersection of Page Road and Miami Boulevard. Located in this Shopping Center are the Ping Pong Cafe (chinese restaurant, closed on Sunday), the Deli (closed on Sunday), the Tico Pizza (closed on Sunday), and a Wendy's. If you continue on Page Road it becomes NC-54 which goes through the Research Triangle Park (the first company on both sides of the road is Nortel Network). After about 3 miles NC-54 crosses with NC-55. Near this intersection are numerous fast food and other eating oportunities. If you have more time, you could drive to either downtown Raleigh, Chapel Hill or Durham.
To get to Raleigh go on I-40 East, use Exit 289 (Wade Ave.) and after two miles or so take the Hillsborough St. exit (just in front of the exit you will see on your right the new Raleigh Sports Arena) and turn towards Meredith College. Stay on Hillsborough St. for about two miles. Numerous coffee bars and small restaurants are located near the NC State campus on Hillsborough St. (CupaJoe's, Rathskeller etc.). Most restaurants in Chapel Hill are located in the downtown area alongcFranklin St. To get there, take I-40 West to exit 273B (Rt. 54 West). Take Rt. 54 West (Raleigh Rd.) to Chapel Hill. Continue straight, past the point where Rt. 54 joins US 15-501. This occurs at an overpass, about 2.5 mi after I-40 and at this point, you will be on South Rd. Turn right onto Columbia St., about 1.5 mi and 4 traffic lights after the overpass. Franklin St. crosses Columbia at the second intersection (and third light). East Franklin is to the right and West Franklin is to the left. Most parking is on Rosemary St., which is one block further on Columbia and runs parallel to Franklin. There are small lots on either side of Columbia and two parking garages right on East Rosemary. With a few exceptions (noted below), all of the restaurants listed below are within walking distance of the parking areas.
