In a message of June 1, 2000 we announced the RIA 2000 workshop to prepare and organize the Rare Isotope Accelerator (RIA) scientific community for the upcoming NSAC Long Range Plan.

The workshop will be held at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Durham, North Carolina.

REGISTRATION:

It is essential that every participant to the workshop register by filling in the appropriate registration form on the workshop web site at http://www.nscl.msu.edu/riaws00 .

HOUSING:

For the RIA2000 Workshop participants, 50 rooms are reserved in the Sheraton Imperial Hotel (the Workshop site) and 60 rooms at the Comfort Suites Hotel which is in walking distance (~4 minutes) of the Sheraton Imperial Hotel. In addition, there are 50 rooms reserved at the Wingate Inn, which is adjacent to the Comfort Suites Hotel, and 40 rooms at the Wyndham Hotel, which is located about 2 miles west of the Workshop site.

Reservations can be made by calling the hotels directly. Individuals must identify themselves as members of the RIA2000 Group to receive the established Group rates (see below). ALL RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO THE GROUP'S CUT-OFF DATE (see below) and guaranteed with a one night's deposit in the form of check, money order or credit card. Individuals will be responsible for their own room, tax, and incidental charges.
