Transportation From the Airport

The Kellogg center will pick up guests who are staying at Kellogg Center and are arriving the Capital City Airport, provided the Kellogg Center is given details of the flight.  If you are arriving at another airport, you will need to arrange your own transportation to MSU.

If you are driving, it may be helpful to have maps of Lansing and of the MSU campus. Such maps can be found at: http://www.msu.edu/dig/msumap/ Maps and directions indicating how to get to Lansing can be found at: http://www.mapquest.com/

Transportation at the Meeting

In the morning, there will be cars to transport you from the Kellogg center to the NSCL. The first trip will leave at about 8:30 am. The last trip will be about 8:50 am.

At the end of the day, we will take people back to the Kellogg center.

Parking

Parking will be a challenge at the NSCL until the new parking ramp is complete. If you can find someplace to park in the NSCL parking lot, you can go to the front desk at the NSCL, tell the receptionist that you are attending the workshop and ask for a temporary parking permit.

Departure

It takes roughly ½ hour to go to the Capital City Airport from the MSU campus.

If you are departing directly from the Kellogg Center to the airport, you need to arrange your transportation to the airport directly with them. If you give them a day’s prior notification of your departure plans, Kellogg will provide your transportation to the airport at no charge. If you neglect to make these arrangements until shortly before your departure, they may call a cab for you and you will be responsible for the charge.

If you are departing from the NSCL and need to reserve a taxi to the airport, you should call Spartan Cab service at 485-4400 or 482-1444 about 90 minutes before departure is to scheduled to depart from the Capital City Airport. Note: to get an outside line, you must first dial 8.

Location

The NSCL is roughly a half hour walk from the Kellogg Center. The map for the campus is given below. For orientation, the Kellogg center in on Harrison Road, which runs North-South. The NSCL is on Shaw Lane, which runs East-West.
