The NSCL User Workshop, organized by the
NSCL Users' Executive Committee, will start at 1 PM on Monday October 25,
2004 and end by 3 PM on Tuesday October 26, 2004. The program will include a facility
overview and presentations of results from recent experiments performed at
the Coupled Cyclotron Facility of the NSCL. Substantial time will be set
aside to foster experimental collaborations and have detailed discussions
among users. There will also be a discussion of user plans for
bringing/building new equipment and possible reconfiguration of existing beam
lines to accommodate them. In response to our solicitation, seven Letters of Intent for experimental
equipment have been received.
They have been posted, along with the present layout
of NSCL beam lines; they will be discussed at the Workshop. Comments on these
Letters of Intent can be sent to Raman
Anantaraman. We have chosen the ending time of the
Workshop to make it convenient for those planning to attend this year’s DNP
meeting in Chicago (October 27-30) to catch the evening flight or drive to
Chicago. The Users' Executive Committee solicits
your input on the topics to be discussed at the Workshop. Please send your
comments to the Chair of the Committee, Paul Cottle. To register on-line for the Workshop,
please fill out and submit the registration.
Housing information is posted at accommodations.
