The NSCL User Workshop will start at 1 PM on Thursday August 18, 2005 and end by 5 PM on Saturday August 20, 2005.

The workshop will have a larger scope than in the recent past. The status of the field of fast rare isotope physics will be surveyed, together with past accomplishments from the Coupled Cyclotron Facility and emerging plans for the future at the NSCL. The program, which is under development, will include:

Ø      presentations by specialists on what they consider to be the most important aspects of current and future rare isotope research that could be pursued at the NSCL in the next half decade;

Ø      presentations by NSCL users on the current programs at the NSCL and planned programs for the future;

Ø      presentations of new results from individual experiments at the NSCL;

Ø      talks on technical developments at the NSCL: recently completed and planned.

 The Users' Executive Committee solicits your suggestions for making the workshop scientifically more productive for NSCL users. Please send your comments to the Chair of the Committee, Dan Shapira.

To register on-line for the Workshop, please fill out and submit the registration. Housing information is posted at accommodations.

The user workshop will be followed by JINA's Frontiers 2005 meeting at MSU (August 21-22) and the MoNA group's meeting in Beaver Island, Michigan (August 21-23).
